Fortunately, there are provisions to redeploy and relocate to another State as a Corper.

As a corps member posted to a State, you don’t desire to serve, you surely have a right to apply for NYSC relocation.

However, there are stipulated conditions that will make your NYSC redeployment application to be considered. Below is the list of the NYSC conditions for relocation.

1. Health

The first condition for NYSC redeployment is health issues. A corps member can apply for NYSC relocation and get approved when he or she has health challenges, and wish to redeploy to a State where s/he will get medical attention.

However, before you apply for NYSC relocation on the grounds of health, ensure you have obtained a medical report from a recognized government health center.

2. Marriage

You can seek NYSC redeployment on marital grouds. This condition is mostly applicable to female married corps members who wish to redeploy to a State where their husbands are.

Applying for relocation on the grounds of marriage requires the female married corps member to provide the following 3 documents:

  • A valid marriage certificate
  • A National Newspaper publication and Affidavit showing your change of name to that of your husbands
  • A letter from your husband’s workplace (this is meant to serve as evidence that your husband is domiciled in the State you wish to redeploy to).

3. Security

As a corps member, you can apply for NYSC relocation if there is security unrest in the State you were posted to.

When To Apply For NYSC Redeployment

The best time to apply for NYSC redeployment and relocation is during your 21 days in the Orientation camp.

On the 2nd week of the Orientation course, corps members seeking redeployment are given the opportunity to apply for relocation.

A form will be issued out to interested corps members, who are meant to fill the form, providing reasons for their redeployment with supporting documents.

How To Apply For NYSC Relocation Online

If you fail to apply for NYSC redeployment in camp, you still have the opportunity to apply online after camp.

To apply for NYSC relocation online, follow the steps below.

1. Visit the official NYSC portal

2. Sign in with your email and password (same details you use when registering for NYSC)

3. Click on  “Relocation

4. Fill in your details in the appropriate fields as provided

After your NYSC relocation application, you will be notified via text messages of your application status, whether rejected or accepted.

If your application letter for redeployment is approved, you will be able to print your NYSC relocation letter.

How to Print Your NYSC Redeployment Letter Online

If your request for relocation approved, you will be able to print your redeployment letter. Here is how to print your NYSC relocation letter.

1. Visit the official NYSC portal

2. Login with your email and password (same as before)

3. Click on Manage Relocation.

4. Make a payment of ₦1000 (one thousand Naira). You will be redirected after successful payment.

5. Now, print the payment your NYSC relocation letter, and your payment receipt.
